The Petroleum Economist Awards, now in their fourth year, reflect the diversity of the energy sector and reward those making significant contributions to the industry. The categories have been developed to ensure that companies are not rewarded simply on size or financial success, but aim to recognise companies that have overcome significant challenges and shown dramatic improvements throughout the previous calendar year (January – December 2008).
The Petroleum Economist Awards celebrate innovation and progress across all aspects of the industry and this year, new categories have been introduced to ensure full inclusivity for all companies related to the energy, oil, gas, power, alternative and renewable sectors. For the first time, in 2009, some categories will be open to non-producing companies including oilfield service companies and technology providers.
