Shales push Talisman growth

Helped by a strong performance from its US shales, Canada’s Talisman Energy reported improvements in fourth-quarter production and reserves. Despite a 9% jump in output, to 426,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe), Calgary-based Talisman said full-year net income fell by 19%, to C$776 million ($776 million), as a result of lower North American natural gas prices....
