ExxonMobil continues Polish shale hunt

Justin Jacobs, LONDON: Setbacks at ExxonMobil’s first two shale-gas wells in Poland haven’t deterred the supermajor. It has committed to drilling a further six wells and carrying out additional seismic surveying in the country by late 2014.

ExxonMobil will drill the six exploration wells between Q3 2012 and Q3 2014, local daily Rzeczpospolita reported, citing sources at the ministry of environment. The company will also shoot 900 km of 2-D seismic...
