US court blocks Chevron Ecuador appeal

A US federal court has blocked a bid by Chevron to prevent Ecuadorean plaintiffs from collecting an $18 billion damages award against it over pollution at Lago Agrio, in the Amazon. In November, the US supermajor asked Manhattan federal court judge Lewis Kaplan to freeze the plaintiffs' assets ahead...
