Oil prices fall as Hormuz threats fade

CRUDE prices fell slightly at the end of January, as fears of supply disruptions from Iran and Nigeria faded, although positive Chinese and US economic data supported the market. Brent futures were trading at around $111/b on 24 January, compared with $113/b a week earlier. WTI was about $101/b, down by $1/b.
