Apache hunts Egyptian shale oil

APACHE believes its Egyptian holdings could host as much as 2.2 billion barrels of shale oil and has unveiled plans to start exploration by the end of this year “We have two wells planned to test the idea here later this year,” said Thomas Voytovich, the US independent’s Egypt manager. “It’s a step-change for us.” Apache has 74,000 acres...
